CIVL 105 Introduction to Surveying4 credits This course covers fundamental principles of plane surveying methods and equipment used in civil engineering and construction. Topics include use of tape, level, and electronic total station, along with horizontal and vertical control networks. This is a hands-on class and students will be exposed to practical surveying applications. Students should plan on outdoor activities and dress accordingly.
Certificate students who wish to take this course as a technical elective will need instructor permission to do so.
Prerequisites: CADE 131 , CADE 132 , CIVL 101 , CIVL 102 , and MATH 111
Corequisites: CIVL 103 , CIVL 107 , CIVL 231 , and PHYS& 114
