APDZ 485 Experiential Graphic Design5 credits This course provides a survey of the field of Experiential Graphic Design from historical, cultural and industry practice perspectives. Students will study the principles of Experiential Graphic Design and apply them to a unique portfolio design project.
Prerequisites: APDZ 382
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Demonstrate familiarity with contemporary exhibit design principles
- Identify effective strategies for brand interaction and visual communication
- Describe the implications of technology and global influence on interactive communication and the visualization of information
- Describe the historical relevance and evolution of entertainment retail
- Produce a comprehensive portfolio artifact and process document
- Employ creative and critical thinking to enhance problem solving
