Program Admission Dates: Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer
The User-Centered Design certificate introduces design and research methods by incorporating technology, human activity, and data in order to prioritize needs and wants for product or service development. The over-arching goal is to prepare students in technology and information gathering that is in-line with industry standards and for entry-level employment.
Students will be expected to 1) identify design problems, 2) analyze and select appropriate research methods, 3) evaluate data, 4) and apply research driven data and knowledge to design solutions.
Lake Washington Institute of Technology does not offer every course each quarter. It is the student’s responsibility to consult the Class Schedule and work out an individual schedule with an advisor. Any developmental coursework a student may be required to complete may increase the program length.
