PUBH 430 Public Health Policy5 credits This course examines public health policy at the local, state, and federal level. It investigates the many factors that influence public policy such as institutional, economic, social, ethical, and political factors.
Prerequisites: Admission to the BASPH program
Program Outcomes This course teaches to the following program outcomes:
- Apply the fundamental principles of public health to individual, community, and population health issues to study disease incidence and prevalence
- Explain the impact of health disparities as related to health behavior and outcomes, intervention strategies, public health policy, and healthcare access and quality
