PUBH 310 Theories of Health Behavior5 credits This course will introduce various health behavior theories (personal, social, and population-based) and their roles in health education, research, and intervention.
Prerequisites: Admission to the BASPH program
Program Outcomes This course teaches to the following program outcomes:
- Apply the fundamental principles of public health to individual, community, and population health issues to study disease incidence and prevalence
- Consider cultural and behavioral factors that influence health status in individuals and populations
- Demonstrate effective communication and critical-thinking skills required for success within the field of public health
Global Outcomes This course teaches to the global outcome of intercultural appreciation.
