ENGT 132 AutoCAD II4 credits An advanced course in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and design. This is a 2D class that focuses on scaling for mechanical engineering drawings.
Prerequisites: ENGT 100 , ENGT 101 , ENGT 102 , and ENGT 103
Corequisites: ENGT 131
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Create mechanical drawings by using different mechanical scales
- Apply external references by creating an industry drawing of mechanical details using “Xrefs”
- Demonstrate how and articulate why to modify external references on drawings by changing “Xrefs”
- Recognize, describe, and apply the components of critical thinking
Program Outcomes This course teaches to the following program outcomes:
- identify the elements and principles of mechanical design
- demonstrate industry ready skills and basic drafting fundamentals, concepts and techniques
