ARGT 121 Architectural Graphics4 credits Fundamentals of architectural graphics including: terminology, media, line conventions, architectural lettering, scaling, sketching, floor plans, sections, elevations, and dimensioning techniques. Emphasis is placed on architectural standards and conventions.
Prerequisites: ENGT 101 or instructor permission. Quarters Offered: All
Student Outcomes/Competencies: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Identify & explain architectural graphics symbols & conventions
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of scaling
- Design basic plans for an architectural project
- Create and draw elevations for an architectural project
- Illustrate details and sections for an architectural project
