ENGT 101 Engineering Introduction and Orientation2 credits Overview and survey of a cross-section of engineering fields. Includes an introduction to all phases of engineering graphics technology, role of the technician in industry, and career survey.
Prerequisites: ABED 046 (or equivalent placement score for ENGL 093 or higher) and ABED 040 (or equivalent placement score for MATH 087 or higher) Quarters Offered: Fall, Winter, Spring

Student Outcomes/Competencies: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Work in teams to research, organize, and synthesize information from a variety of sources regarding different types of engineering disciplines
- As a team, prepare and present a report
- Recognize and describe the different roles of the technician
- Research industries and identify their different technical requirements
