DHYG 414 Advanced Dental Hygiene Clinical Practice V

The fifth in the clinical series to develop advanced application and evaluation of dental hygiene theory and techniques required for safe, legal, and effective practice of clinical dental hygiene. Advanced instrumentation techniques are incorporated into clinical care, and an increased level of independence and sophistication is demonstrated. Students will provide advanced dental hygiene clinical skills at LWTech clinic and a major clinical rotation site, CHC of Everett.

Corequisites: All Quarter 6 DHYG BAS courses

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Create SMART Goals, SWOT analysis, and action steps for a professional development plan
Participate in lab activities to integrate theory into practice
Perform dental hygiene services in the LWTech dental clinic and the major rotation site at CHC
