NURS 225 Nursing of Children

3 credits
This course focuses on the growth and development of the child from birth through adolescence in diverse populations. Major childhood illnesses and community resources for family units discussed.

Prerequisites: NURS 131  and NURS 132  

Corequisites: NURS 226  

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Integrate evidence-based knowledge to make sound clinical judgements reflective of safe practice standards.
  • Apply the concepts of leadership, management, quality improvement, and patient safety in the delivery of patient care
  • Communicate effectively and accurately through verbal, written, and electronic mediums.
