NURS 132 Medical Surgical Nursing II Practicum

5 credits
In this course the student continues to expand and integrate critical thinking skills, knowledge of the nursing process, communication techniques, and technical skills in an acute care setting.

Prerequisites: NURS 121  and NURS 122  

Corequisites: NURS 131  

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Integrate evidence-based knowledge to make sound clinical judgements reflective of safe practice standards.
  • Apply the concepts of leadership, management, quality improvement, and patient safety in the delivery of patient care
  • Communicate effectively and accurately through verbal, written, and electronic mediums.
