HIST& 126 World Civilizations I5 credits This course is an introduction to early world history with a global perspective, spanning the time period from human prehistory through the origins of civilization, the rise of the classical world, the birth of Islam, and the events of the Middle Ages. The course emphasizes cultural themes, including the technology, economic systems, agricultural practices, arts, governments, and religions of the period’s major civilizations. Prerequisites: ENGL 100 .
