The guide below describes how to use the catalog to explore program options, learn about program and course requirements, and plan your academic pathway to the completion of a degree or certificate. If you have questions as you use the online catalog, click the Support

Online Catalog User Guide for Program and Course Information
Click on the Programs by Area of Study link in the left-hand navigation.
Find your area of study on the list by reviewing the bold headings. Under each area of study, you will see the degree and certificate options listed. Click on the degree or certificate you would like to learn more about.
Review the information provided about the degree or certificate you selected.
1. Total number of credits required for the degree or certificate
- To calculate an estimate of the number of quarters needed to complete a degree, divide the total by 12 to 20 credits (12 credits is the minimum for full-time students; the average full-time load is 15 credits).
- The total number of credits does not include English and math courses needed as pre-requisites to your college-level English and math courses. The number of additional credits is determined by your placement scores.

3. Program mission and description
4. Program outcomes - the skills/competencies you will develop throught the program and be able to demonstrate upon completion of the degree or certificate
5. Courses required for completion of the degree or certificate
Click on one of the courses listed under Program Requirements. When you do so, the following details will appear:
1. Course title
2. Number of credits
3. Course description, including pre-requisites and or co-requisites
- Pre-requisites are courses that must be competed prior to the current course.
- Co-requisites must be taken at the same time as the course.
You can also review individual course information by clicking on Course Descriptions link in the left-hand navigation.
Return to the Programs by Area of Study page and find Academic Core Requirements at the top.
Click the link that corresponds with the degree or certificate of interest. For example, for the Accounting AAS, you would choose #2, the Associate in Applied Science, AAS.
Each option includes all of the courses that satisfy your academic core requirements - Written Communication, Humanities (AAS and AAS-T only), Quantitative Reasoning, and Social Science. When planning your degree, be sure to refer to the program page for recommended or required classes for each of the academic core areas. If no recommended or required courses are listed, you can choose any course listed under each area.
