 Electronics Technician, Certificate of Proficiency  |

				85 CREDITS Program Admission Dates: Fall, Winter, Spring Electronics Technician certificate students develop a basic core of electronics skills and are eligible to take the Associate Certified Electronics Technician examination. Graduates are qualified for entry-level positions as testers, maintenance technicians, service laboratory technicians, and satellite up-link or down-link technicians, cable TV installers, and service telecommunications technicians. Electronics Technician certificate graduates will: 
	be prepared to obtain entry-level positions as electronics technicians, installers, assemblers and troubleshootersdemonstrate critical thinking, teamwork, communication, intercultural appreciation, and information literacy skills Lake Washington Institute of Technology does not offer every course each quarter. It is the student’s responsibility to consult the Class Schedule and work out an individual schedule with an adviser or counselor. Any developmental coursework a student may be required to complete may increase the program length. |

 Recommended Course SequenceThe courses listed below are a suggested sequence; as long as prerequisites are met, courses may be taken in a different order. Electronics program courses (ELEC prefix) are not offered during summer quarter. Students should enroll in Academic Core courses at that time. MATH 087  (or placement into MATH 098  or higher) and ENGL 093  (or placement into ENGL 099  or higher) must be completed prior to the first quarter.Technical Elective - 5 Credits
