 20 CREDITS Admission Dates: Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer The State Early Childhood Education Short Certificates of Specialization complete Step 6 of Level 2 on the Washington State ECE Career Lattice. The short certificate of specialization is the second of three short certificates that can lead to completion of an AAS degree. Within the short certificate of specialization students will complete all of the requirements of the Initial Credential, plus specialized curriculum. Students select one of the 5 areas of specialization for the short certificate.  GeneralAdministrationFamily Child CareInfants and ToddlersSchool Age CareFamily Child Care Certificate graduates will:
