Written Communication

Students who successfully complete courses in the Written Communication distribution area will be able to:

  • write clear, coherent, and well-organized prose 
  • employ critical thinking in evaluating and expressing ideas
  • demonstrate effective use of sources following accepted academic conventions

Written Communication Courses

The following courses meet the Written Communication distribution requirement for associate degrees and certificates. Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program should consult the program outline in the catalog for the specific 300- and 400-level courses that meet the Written Communication requirement for their program.
