GAME 134 3D Materials and Textures4 credits This course covers the elements of creating portfolio quality Shaders/Textures applied to a 3D scene. Best practices for creating realistic looking textures will be applied. Students will apply techniques learned in class and build a realistic 3D scene based on a theme.
Prerequisites: GAME 124
Quarters Offered: Fall, Winter
Student Outcomes/Competencies: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Create realistic looking textures in Photoshop
- Apply various textures to 3D objects in a scene
- Create Alpha channels
- Create Bump and Normal maps
- Model props in a using current 3D software
