HRM 285 Capstone: HRM as a Business Partner and HR Career Readiness

3 credits
This is a capstone course for the HRM AAS-T degree, where students will apply their business and human resource knowledge to perform best practices for an organization. Students will explore HR’s role in driving future work and assess their readiness for careers in the Human Resource Profession.

Prerequisites: HRM 210 HRM 215 HRM 220 HRM 230 HRM 250 HRM 255 HRM 260 , and HRM 290  (pre or co-requisites)

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate current trends in the HRM profession related to functional areas covered in the HRM AAS-T degree
  • Apply interventions to business and HR challenges involving the integration of one or more HR functional areas
  • Describe a Human Resource professional’s role in partnering with an organization’s stakeholders
  • Identify an HR professional’s role and impact in driving the future of work
  • Examine career readiness and opportunities for the HR profession
