ABED 82 Speaking, Listening, and Pronunciation

Students will improve their speaking, listening and pronunciation skills through interactive and task-based activities. Emphasis is on understanding and expressing ideas and opinions in extended discourse.

Prerequisites: ELL 65 (or equivalent CASAS placement)

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Identify and address needs pertaining to fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation for college and career communication
Develop accent-reduction strategies
Reword statements, ask for clarification, and apply appropriate strategies to be better understood by others
