HORT 219 Landscape Drafting

5 credits

Provides hands-on instruction and practice in drafting landscape design schematics using both hand-drawn and computer aided drafting techniques. Students will generate a scale drawn landscape design.

Prerequisites: ABED 40 or AHSE 56 (or equivalent placement score for MATH 87 or AHSE 66 or higher) and ABED 46 (or equivalent placement score for ENGL 93 or higher)

Corequisites: HORT 132, HORT 211, and HORT 218

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Interpreret a scale-drawn landscape design
Implement drafting techniques required to produce landscape design schematics
Produce professional-level drafting lines, symbols and labels
Create a scale-drawn landscape design for a residential client
