HRM 345 Learning & Development & Inspiring Creativity5 credits This course covers the principles of learning and development and how to facilitate training that aligns with organizational goals. Students will learn how to inspire creativity for business success.
Prerequisites: At least 90 credits completed of 100/200 level courses and admission to a bachelor’s program
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Analyze training, facilitation, learning, and development in the context of organizations.
- Examine the principles of learning and describe how they facilitate development
- Work cooperatively in a team to create a successful learning and development presentation
- Explain the components of learning and development needs assessment
- Link learning and development objectives to organizational goals
- Design programs to inspire creativity in the workplace such as gamification and the latest trends
- Formulate creative solutions for best results
- Examine common required and optional HR training
