BH 138 Social Service Experience I

Students will develop basic skills and knowledge of social services through work or volunteer experience in an approved social service or healthcare organization and reflect upon their experience.

Prerequisites: BH 110 and instructor permission required

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Demonstrate respect for clients
Interact collaboratively and professionally with agency staff
Maintain confidentiality of client information
Follow agency policies and procedures
Articulate common client needs
Identify agency services
