APDZ 332 Design and Innovation

5 credits


A practical study of how design innovations lead to new opportunities and solutions to wicked problems. Course content will focus on human-centered design theory and arts-based research.

Prerequisites: APDZ 331  

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course student will be able to:

  • Identify and describe a wicked problem
  • Describe and list examples of human-centered design process
  • Describe theoretical frameworks of organizational behavior
  • Describe and list examples of arts-based research as applied to design process
  • Create a professional level portfolio artifact or visual presentation
