ARGT 241 Architectural Illustration

3 credits
This course covers architectural illustration techniques and includes: orthographic, axonometric and oblique projection; and 2- point perspectives. Presentation and rendering techniques with emphasis on a variety of media, applying software previously learned, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Microstation.

Prerequisites: ENGT 131  or ARGT 131 .

Student Outcomes/Competencies:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Develop presentation drawings of architectural projects
  • Draw basic illustrations manually or on a computer (applying software previously learned)
  • Present drawings that are portfolio ready
  • Post process digital drawings in photo editing software
  • Demonstrate clarity and organization in presentation drawing sequences
