OTA 110 Foundations for Occupational Therapy Assistants5 credits This course includes an introduction to occupational therapy, basic theory and philosophy, ethics, and areas of OT practice. The student will craft a personal development plan based on the tenets of occupational therapy.
Prerequisites: (BIOL& 241 or BIOL& 175 ), ENGL& 101 , MATH& 146 , PSYC& 200 , and OTA 100
Corequisites: OTA 101 and OTA 112
College-Wide Learning Outcomes This course teaches to the college-wide learning outcome of Cultural Humility, the ability to practice lifelong learning and critical self-reflection in order to understand one’s own cultural identity and its impact on being open to and supporting the cultures of others.
