CSNT 248 Server Administration

In this course, students install and configure various types of servers such as domain controllers, DNS servers, certificate authorities, email servers, web servers, file servers, print servers, and hypervisors.

Prerequisites: CSNT 255 and CSNT 256

Corequisites: CSNT 241

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Manage virtual server resources
Deploy publicly-available email systems
Deploy Internet-facing and private DNS servers
Configure various web server platforms
Configure file sharing services using multiple protocols
Reasonably harden server resources based on industry best practices and published standards
