CSNT 247 Offensive Computer Security3 credits In this course, students will learn to apply offensive security tactics, techniques, and procedures in order to assess the security posture of networks and information systems. Topics include intelligence gathering, technical execution, and implications of found vulnerabilities to business practices.
Prerequisites: CSNT 244 and CSNT 257
Corequisites: CSNT 253
CSNT 241 (prerequisite or corequisite)
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Apply the Penetration Testing Execution Standard to a penetration test
- Perform a network vulnerability assessment
- Exploit known information system vulnerabilities

- perform successfully as computer technicians, Network technicians, installers, troubleshooters, help desk support, and network administrators
