TLM 320 Management Principles5 credits This course emphasizes the relationships among the functional areas of business. It includes the study of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling an enterprise. Managerial decision-making within the social, economic, and regulatory environment of the enterprise is also examined.
Prerequisites: Admission to the BASTLSCM program
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Break down management and the management hierarchy
- Explain managerial functions and theories
- Utilize the skills needed for management success
- Explain vision and its importance for firms with domestic and global operations
- Differentiate among types of planning and describe the strategic planning process
