ARCH 111 AutoCAD I - Architecture4 credits This course provides an introduction to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and design for architecture and civil engineering using state of the art software. Emphasis is placed on using basic commands, such as coordinate system, editing, screen, text, and dimensioning.
Prerequisites: ARCH 100
Corequisites: ARCH 112
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Create and modify existing basic geometry using AutoCAD
- Modify existing screen controls during CAD editing sessions
- Apply correct dimensioning standards to drawings by completing drawings
- Generate plots using output devices
