BMDT 201 Laser Electronics3 credits This course provides the technical principles and basic knowledge associated with various electrical systems and circuits found in photonics and electro-optical systems and devices such as lasers. Its purpose is to provide technicians with the knowledge and skills to adapt and modify laser systems to ensure that they operate safely and reliably. The course also emphasizes data acquisition principles involving monitoring and/or controlling signals with a computer in a scientific, testing, or manufacturing environment. Students gain experience in real-world data acquisition applications.
Prerequisites: BMDT 100 and LASR 203
