LASR 207 Industrial Lasers and Applications

This course covers the range of options for photonics technicians in the broad area of laser-based industrial and manufacturing applications. With intensive hands-on training, the course emphasizes the use of lasers in materials processing applications such as cutting, drilling, welding, and marking. The use of computer-controlled laser systems to perform extremely precise measurements and inspection applications will also be introduced.
