APDZ 383 Digital Design Fabrication and Prototyping5 credits This course provides a survey of the field of design fabrication and prototyping from the perspective of design, materials, and industry practices. Students will be guided through a lab environment using rapid prototyping devices and physical modeling techniques. Theoretical underpinnings will suggest how the “machine” is becoming more integrated into the design process. Prerequisites: ENGT 131 or MMDP 124 (or CAD equivalent) and admission to the BTAD Program or instructor permission.
