Welding Introduction (I-BEST), Certificate of Completion

Program Admission Dates: Fall, Winter, Spring

I-BEST certificate in Welding Technology students will learn welding skills used in construction projects, manufacturing, industrial plants, and maintenance industries. Using the latest welding processes and techniques, students read blueprints and fabricate a variety of products. Students prepare to take the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) test.Graduates will also be eligible for entry into the Welding Technology Certificate of Proficiency and the full degree program.

Lake Washington Institute of Technology does not offer every course each quarter. It is the student’s responsibility to consult the Class Schedule and work out an individual schedule with an adviser. Any developmental coursework a student may be required to complete may increase the program length.

Note: The Welding Introduction (I-BEST), Certificate of Completion was revised to correct an error on 12/20/2018.

The program previously listed the first quarter as WELD 102 and WELD 106. This was out of alignment with the longer certificate and degree options. The revision replaced WELD 106 with WELD 101. If you have any questions about this change, please contact the catalog manager at 425.738.8233.
