CSNT 247 Offensive Computer Security3 credits In this course, students will apply offensive security tactics, techniques, and procedures in order to assess the security posture of networks and information systems. Topics include intelligence gathering, technical execution, and implications of found vulnerabilities to business practices.
Prerequisites: CSNT 255 and CSNT 256
Corequisites: CSNT 241 and CSNT 253
Quarters Offered: Winter, Spring
Student Outcomes/Competencies: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Apply the Penetration Testing Execution Standard to a penetration test
- Perform a network vulnerability assessment
- Exploit known information system vulnerabilities
