DSGN 282 Brand Communication and Marketing5 credits This course provides a survey of the field of brand communication design and marketing from historical, cultural, and industry practice perspectives. Students will study the principles of brand communication and contemporary marketing theory.
Prerequisites: ART 102

Student Outcomes/Competencies: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Describe the basic process of brand development and value alignment
- Apply contemporary marketing principles
- Identify effective marketing and communication strategies for a business
- Describe the historical relevance and evolution of marketing communication
