CEGT 280 Civil Engineering Graphics Capstone Project4 credits
Capstone design course where students conceptualize, apply relevant standards, calculate elevations & quantities, properly select materials, and complete a design project with the support of industry professionals. Students present their project in a professional setting.
Prerequisites: ENGT 258 , CEGT 232 .
Student Outcomes/Competencies:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Gather information needed to produce professional civil engineering drawings
- Calculate and properly document the quantities of structural materials such as concrete, rebar, and earthwork needed for civil engineering projects
- Apply applicable standards to civil engineering projects
- Select proper materials for civil engineering projects
- Produce professional drawings of civil engineering projects
- Present and defend drawings for civil projects
