ARGT 121 Architectural Graphics

4 credits
Fundamentals of architectural graphics including: terminology, media, line conventions, architectural lettering, scaling, sketching, floor plans, sections, elevations, and dimensioning techniques. Emphasis is placed on architectural standards and conventions.

Prerequisites: ENGT 101  or instructor permission.

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Identify & explain architectural graphics symbols & conventions
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of scaling
  • Design basic plans for an architectural project
  • Create and draw elevations for an architectural project
  • Illustrate details and sections for an architectural project
