BUS 330 Creative Product Development5 credits This course covers the strategies, processes, tools, and practices used by entrepreneurs and industry for new-product development. The course surveys stages of product development, from the generation of new ideas to test marketing.
Prerequisites: BUS 300 (pre or corequisite) and admission to the BASAME program
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Evaluate core product design and development theories and the role they play in society
- Apply the principles of product develop theory within the reality of a rapidly changing product and service market
- Formulate/synthesize information, data, and new knowledge and communicate via engaging written and oral formats
- Apply the proven steps necessary to produce a viable product or service
- Value and work within a team to gather evidence, solve problems, and complete reporting processes
